Short Summary:

I am a self-taught programmer and an experienced hospitality manager. Under my belt are numerous projects in Python and Javascript and I contribute regularly to open-source projects via GitHub. I have also completed a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences.

History of Experience:

I have worked as the manager of a resort in the Philippines, A hostel in Nicaragua and as the operations manager of a hotel in London. I have worked all over the world and gained meaningful experience in all aspect of Hospitality: front desk, guest relations, reservations, housekeeping and maintenance.

Technical Skills

I am a self taught programmer with experience in Python and Javascript. I created a webapp to be used by healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. It allows users to login to view and amend their ward’s job list, assign tasks, update patient information and share this with team members in real time. The site is hosted on Heroku and utilises a PostgreSQL database. More recently I completed the Tech Returners course that covered topics such as frontend development with React and serverless backend REST API creation with Lambda. It also covers cloud deployments (working with AWS) provisioned with infrastructure as code tooling together with agile processes and methodologies used in a tech environment such as TDD, Pair programming and Version Control.

Transferable Skills

I have a wealth of experience dealing with customers, whether face to face, over the phone or email. I am used working within as well as managing multiple teams and coordinatingd my work and theirs to create a smooth operation in the business. I am patient, friendly and quick to learn.
